Hmong Wisconsin Chamber of Commerce (HWCC) Announces New Executive Director
Milwaukee, Wis., December 16, 2019 – The Hmong Wisconsin Chamber of Commerce (HWCC) is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Maysee Herr as its new Executive Director, effective December 16, 2019. Dr. Herr joins HWCC with a decade of experience with the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point as Associate Professor to Program Director, and extensive leadership positions serving as Board of Director with multiple nonprofits, including Community Foundation of North Central Wisconsin and Marathon County Diversity Affairs Commission. Dr. Herr received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater and went on to pursue her Master of Science and PhD studies in Education from Indiana University.
“After an extensive search with many great candidates, we are excited to welcome Dr. Maysee Herr, to HWCC as our new Executive Director. Maysee brings a wealth of knowledge in non-profits, education and sustainability for organizations. We know she will provide great leadership, program developments, and will help bring the Chamber to the next level of excellence,” said Patrick Martin, co-chair of the Board of Directors for HWCC.

Together with the HWCC board and staff, I look forward to further strengthening the relationships that the chamber has with individuals, organizations, and businesses in Wisconsin and helping to increase the number of Hmong and Southeast Asian entrepreneurs and business owners around the state,” said Dr. Herr.
