HWCC provides financial resources and business consultation to those who are interested in starting their own business and/or for current business owners looking to expand.
In partnership with the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation (WEDC), the Milwaukee Economic Development Corporation (MEDC), and several community banks, HWCC was successful in creating a business Revolving Loan Fund (RLF) program to support small businesses. Created in 2007, this loan fund is the first of its kind in the country designed to serve Hmong and Southeast Asian small businesses in the State of Wisconsin.
Loans made through the RLF program provide much needed capital and can also 'bridge the gap' between the cash and assets of a business owner and the equity requirements needed to qualify for a commerical loan from a bank.
REVOLVING LOAN FUND
There are four different Revolving Loan Fund (RLF) programs that provide a loans up from $1,000 up to $75,000 to provide much needed capital for business start-ups and expansions.

Emergency Fund/Technical Assistance Loan
Revolving Loan Fund- Small Loan
Revolving Loan Fund-Large Loan
Revolving Loan Fund-Real Estate Secured Large Loan
HWCC provides three areas of business consultation to support successful business start-ups and strengthen growth capacity. With HWCC's strong economic development network, we provide one-on-one assistance, business workshops, and business events to further build strong business acumen and increase capacity.
ONE ON ONE
HWCC staff provides one-on-one technical assistance to member businesses. Our staff understands the unique challenges faced by all small businesses and works closely with members and clients through the loan application process and other TA needs.
BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT ASSISTANCE
HWCC offers affordable and beneficial business education and skills development workshops in English and other Southeast Asian languages. These workshops are offered at different locations across the state.

HWCC monitors the latest procurement initiatives of private corporations and government agencies. Workshops on these procurement processes are offered to members interested in private and public sector contracting opportunities. Private tours for procurement specialists to visit member businesses are scheduled annually.
Complementing the one-on-one TA provided, HWCC provides extensive assistance in developing business growth, including referrals to scale-up programs.
